Submissions
We love hearing from garden curious creatives.
Sage Journal is the go-to platform for gardening inspiration and education in New Zealand and Australia. We explore the intersection of gardening, art and storytelling — embracing the idea that working with nature is an art form in itself.
Sage Journal is built around three editorial themes: people, plants & place.
Examples of submissions we consider are:
- Landscape design and architecture projects in New Zealand, Australia and, sometimes, beyond.
- Stories of those who work, play and create in nature — gardeners and growers, designers and artists, makers and creators.
- Gardens, landscapes and thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces: big and small, quirky or manicured, self made or big-budget landscaping projects.
- Regenerative and sustainable projects and practice.
- Practical articles for growers of all levels, including plant profiles, growing guides and how-to articles.
- Botanically-inspired photojournalism.
We value high-quality photography, in-depth storytelling and expert knowledge.
